Did you enjoy praising God this morning? I find it amazing how we all might be in different churches and in different parts of this area, but we are one praising the one true God. Pretty cool!
Anyway, first off, want to thank everyone who participated in the CLMI breakfast last Saturday. We had a nice turn out for this event, hopefully you were blessed as much as I was.
Secondly, attached to this email is our “big” event in October. It’s a couples dinner at Roberto’s with guest speaker Dayle Keefer. If you haven’t taken your wife out for a while, this would be a great time to do it! Not married, how about taking your girlfriend to a romantic dinner? We also have single tickets as well. Mark it down on your calendars and get a babysitter set quickly. (Printable Information for this event is available)
The date is Saturday, October 15th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Cost is $50 per couple/$30 a single. For tickets or questions contact Mark Summers at 499-4459. The last day to purchase tickets is September 30th.

It’s been a while! I hope your July is starting out well. The next Chautauqua Lake Men of Integrity Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday, July 23rd from 8:00 am – 10:00 am @ Fluvanna Community Church 3363 Fluvanna Ave. Ext. Pastor Roy Ferguson Jr. will be presenting and you don’t want to miss this one! Mark it in your calendars. If you would like to come, please email me or call the church @ 484-0553 to make your reservation.
Here is a testimony I received in the mail from a gentleman who attended a breakfast: “Thank you for a wonderful morning! The breakfast was delicious and the worship was uplifting. The message was exactly what I needed to hear. I didn’t realize how great it is to worship with other men from around our area, I was very encouraged!”
Remember, we are not trying to take the place of your men’s ministry, we want to be a encouragement for your men’s group at your church. Our focus is for men to return to the Lord! We want to remind you let go and let God! Let Him be the leader in your home, at work, in your marriage, and in your personal life. He is the reason we want to get together and fellowship!

Phase-Two Fundraising Update
For the week ending 28 May 2011
This year our goal is to raise [at least] all the funding for the second phase of The Better Place development. This includes, land acquisition, survey, initial site plans and development, paying the Director a full-time salary and benefits, hiring an administrative assistant, legal fees, insurance and the cost of producing fundraising materials (this last item includes printed material, a DVD and architectural renderings). The total cost estimate is $730,000. Of this, we have agreed on a price to purchase the initial 100 acres (that includes a lake view and gives us road access) for $201,500.00. Once we take possession of this acreage we will be able to make offers on contiguous properties that are “landlocked” and that figure into our plans for the complete campus.
Please pray hard and often for the full amount to come in. Give what you can. Pray all you can. Be an evangelist (a good news teller) for this endeavor so others may participate in what God is doing. Visit the website to remain updated on this ministry in general.
To keep you updated as we run this race, I intend to send a weekly update of our progress toward the Phase-Two goal. Here is this week’s update:

As of the end of May we have received $4,925 toward the goal of $730,000. If you think of that $730,000 as 730,000 yards and one step as three feet, then we have taken just about one full step. We have only 729,000 more steps to go. – However you may think of it, we would like to exceed the $200,000 mark as quickly as possible so we can purchase that first parcel of property. There are innumerable people who have the resources to pay that entire amount. They just need to hear about this and to hear from the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your prayers.
