Dancing and Clapping at the 2009 Global Day of Prayer

A team has begun planning for the 2010 Global Day of Prayer gathering in Jamestown, NY. This team includes Scott Waterman and Mary Hinsdale from The Better Place Board and also our Better Place Director, Roy Miller. They have reserved the ball stadium at Russell Diethrick Park in Jamestown for this event.

The stadium seats 3,000 people. The plan is to gather for worship from 9:00 – noon on Sunday the 23rd of May, 2010 and catch the wave of worship and prayer that will be sweeping the globe that day.

Throughout the afternoon, individuals led in prayer from the stage, small groups prayed together, pastors brought words of encouragement and challenge and, for about half an hour, all participants took time to prayer-walk assigned areas of the downtown.

Equipping the Church Spring 2010

Dear Pastors, Intercessors and Kingdom seekers,

Paul wrote to the Ephesians: It was he [Christ] who gave some to be … pastors… to prepare and equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. – Eph. 4:11-13
“The whole measure of the fullness of Christ” is the home base toward which we run. The other things in this statement that precede home base are the bases we must run to get there.
To equip pastors to equip others – and to directly equip those “others” – I call your attention to these three upcoming gatherings:
