March 2010 Healing Rooms Report

Following is a report sent to the Healing Rooms by e-mail on March 30, 2010:

Hi, I was at the Healing room last night with my friends. I had asked for healing for my stomach, acid reflux, hernia so I could eat the food of India when I go back for missions. I believed I was healed but why I am writing is to tell you of my other healing while I was there.

I am sorry I don’t remember names but a lady came back out after praying and said she wanted to pray again…while she was praying I could feel a pull on the left side of me, I even had to reposition my feet once because I thought I would fall otherwise. While I was feeling the pull on my left side there was something going on in my left shoulder. All I can describe it as is small bubbles were popping as they formed a spiral circle in my left shoulder where I have had a lot of pain from arthritis. It started very small and continue to grow until all my shoulder was covered. I am now healed! I am sorry I didn’t say anything while I was there, I was still in wonderment at this feeling, but I told my friend as we got to the car. I guess it had finally hit me what I had experienced. I slept very well last night for the first time in a while.

As I was doing my devotions this morning and praying to God thanking Him for this blessing, I knew I had to let you all know also. Thank you for your service to God in providing the Healing Rooms.

In Prayer,

Bonnie

MEN OF INTEGRITY

I WANT MEN TO PRAY

WORKSHOP

The Chautauqua Lake Region Men of Integrity sponsored a morning-long workshop on prayer on Saturday the 20th of March 2010. This Workshop was held at Christ-First UMC in Jamestown, NY. The theme verse for this Workshop was 1 Timothy 2:8, “I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing”.

The Director of The Better Place, Roy Miller, led the men through an interactive time of learning. They dug deep and shared openly as they took an honest look at the purpose of prayer and God’s call to every man of true faith to intercede in prayer just like Jesus. We are called to do the same things Jesus did, but to do the same things Jesus did we must do the same things Jesus did. There is no shortcut. Jesus fasted, Jesus was a man of prayer, and Jesus died to himself. To do what Jesus did we must do what Jesus did.

The men also learned about partnership in prayer, spiritual leadership in the home and in the world. The morning flew by as the men discussed these various aspects and applications of prayer. They all left better equipped and motivated to “get on their knees and fight like men”. The only regrets at the end of the morning – as is so typical of these events – were that the time had expired so quickly and that the men who did not attend missed a very good thing.

The next event that will be sponsored by the Chautauqua Lake Region Men of Integrity is a breakfast and program on Saturday the 1st of May. This will be held at the Healing Word Ministries Church of God on West Third Street in Jamestown. Call Pastor Leecroft 716/868-7699 to register or to get more information. – You can also read about this on the Chautauqua Lake Region Men of Integrity page on this web site.

SESSION ONE OF THE 2010 REGIONAL SCHOOL OF PRAYER

A GOD EVENT!

The first sessions of the 2010 Regional School of prayer took place all day Saturday the 13th of March. It was held on the lower level of Schwab Manor on the Heritage Ministries Retirement Campus in Gerry, NY. Several people who had attended previous session of the School in 2009 were present. There were also eleven first time attendees.

George Otis, of the Sentinel Group, has documented a number of things that attract God. One of those things is prayer. Another is unity. Others are faith, humility and worship. Put that all together, and any session of the School of Prayer is a “God magnet.” The session on the 13th of March was no exception.

Will Lowry, a highly talented musician from Cattaraugus, NY and a house church leader, provided worship leadership for the School. Pastor Lowry led with an obvious spirit of humility out of a mature and secure faith. His musical gift is coupled with a spiritual gift of wisdom and obedience to the promptings of the Spirit. Many School attendees commented on their evaluation forms how they were ministered to during the times of worship.

Topics that were covered during the teaching segments of this School included, “Discerning our Call to Prayer,” “The Model set by Jesus,” “Releasing the Power,” “Persistence,” “Vision for Transformation,” and “Prayer Mapping Primer.”

All the evaluations of the School were glowingly positive. Here’s a sampling of some comments: “I especially liked the deep insights and chance to put what we learned into practice.” “It is well worth the time and resources. The School of Prayer is motivational and equips you well.” “I experienced the spirit of the Lord’s presence, the peace, hope and unity of the group and clarity of teaching. I appreciate the humility of the teacher.” “To those who have never attended this I say, ‘Go, you won’t regret it!’” “This teaching is powerful!” “I have received new practical insights on prayer.” And so it goes, page after page.

The next sessions of the 2010 Regional School of Prayer are scheduled for the 12th of June and the 25th of September. Registration information and printable forms are available on this web site.
