Many more Events to Equip the Churches are planned and in progress. Please excuse the delay in getting this information on our Web site.
We all know that as Jesus went about proclaiming the Kingdom he also healed the sick, raised the dead and cast out demons. For three years he trained his disciples to go do the same things he did. As part of that training he sent the twelve out for some practice and told them to preach the Kingdom and heal the sick (Lk. 9:2). Later he sent out seventy disciples and told them to heal the sick and to proclaim the Kingdom of God is near you (Lk.10:9). Then, just before his ascension he commissioned his disciples to go make disciples of all nations and to teach them everything he had taught (Mt. 28:19-20).
– Jesus declared that anyone who has faith in him will do what he did (Jn. 14:12). Then he taught his disciples to do the same things he did and commissioned them to teach others also. How are we doing?
As we read the book of Acts we see repeatedly that people believed because of the miracles they saw; especially as they saw and experienced healing. This was central to Jesus proclamation of the Kingdom. Healing was a core piece of his method. It is a core piece of the method he taught. – Today as we seek to fulfill the "Great Commission" we have developed many methods and gimmicks. But nothing as every worked better that what Jesus modeled and taught.
To help us to be faithful in that which was part and parcel of the ministry of Jesus and to be faithful in what he commissioned us to do; The Better Place in cooperation with the Prayer Leadership Team of Park Church is offering a workshop on Saturday morning the 12th of April at the Park Church in Sinclairville. This is for everyone age 10 and older. There will be no registration fee but an offering will be received to help pay for materials and refreshments. All participants will receive a healing scriptures CD.
If you will plan to be present at the workshop please call 716-488-9918 or e-mail to register your intent to attend. This will help to insure that there will be sufficient materials and food.
In only three hours we will not begin to learn what the twelve learned in three years but we will make a start.
